The group meets at Whole Foods in their Lifestyle Center.   Whole Foods is located just south of the Westroads mall at Regency and Dodge.

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES

Omaha Shrine Circus

The Autism Society of Nebraska has been invited by the Tangier shriners to join them for a FREE special needs showing of the Shrine Circus!

Join us Friday, February 24th from 1:00pm - 3:00pm.

Yes, the bad news is that their special needs show is during school hours. So if you have school aged children you will have to decide if you want to take them out of school for the afternoon. This really is a great chance for them to experience such an exciting (but oh so overstimulating) environment in the safety of a more accepting crowd.

We hope you will join us!

It is FREE, but you will need to RSVP by January 19th to reserve seating. Click HERE to RSVP!

We only have a limited number of seats for our organization so it will be first come first served!

Autism Society Skating Spectacular

Join the Autism Society - Omaha Support Network for an Autism Family Skating Spectacular!

Skate City
1220 South Fort Crook Rd
Bellevue, NE

Sunday, January 29
5pm - 7pm

Fun for all ages!

Cost: $4 per skater (price covers traditional skate rental; inline skates extra)

Additonal $3 for those 10 and under wanting to also do the bounce house/play structure

We are also thrilled to have Creighton OT students joining us to help out! They will be on hand to help our newest skaters get adjusted to life on wheels as well as to help guide our veteran skaters in fine tuning their skills.

RSVP HERE . RSVP is not required but is very much appreciated as it will help us line up enough volunteers.

AMC Entertainment and the Autism Society have teamed up to bring families affected by autism and other disabilities a special opportunity to enjoy their favorite films in a safe and accepting environment on a monthly basis with the “Sensory Friendly Films” program.

The movie auditoriums will have their lights brought up, the sound turned down, and AMC’s “Silence is Golden®” policy will not be enforced.   There will be no previews before the film so plan to arrive early as the movie will start at 10am.   AMC is also being very generous and letting our families bring in their own GFCF snacks.   Regular concessions are also available to purchase.

Learn more about AMC’s Sensory Friendly movies here.
