AUTISM SOCIETY NEBRASKA – OMAHA

**2013 Summer PE Classes -

We have heard time and time again how our loved ones don’t succeed in sports or PE because they are missing out on some of the finer points of how to play the game. One parent shared that while attending a birthday party she watched her son’s “friends” hide behind him during a game of dodge ball. They knew he didn’t understand the “dodge” part so they used him as a human shield. But is dodgeball an important life skill? You bet!
Our kids miss out on a lot of social experiences when they don’t join the games at recess. Our young adults miss out on life fitness when they don’t stay enrolled in PE. People on the autism spectrum can do most of these tasks but they just need a little bit of individualized instruction. Come and get it!

The Autism Society of Nebraska – Omaha Support Network is piloting a Summer PE Class but there is limited space so get your registration in now!

More information can be found HERE.
