Step by Step Dance class for kids with ASD
June 11 – July 30
Step by step is a fun, safe dance class for special needs students up to age 16. They meet weekly for an hour and stretch, learn basic dance positions, leap, jump, tap, and hip hop!
Saturdays from 8:00 am – 9:00 am

Advanced Riding Camp at Valley Barn: July 25-29, 2011
Hours: 9am – 11am
Cost: $200 for 5 days or $50 per day
**Students must have previous riding lessons and ability to walk and trot independently

Marcus Theaters – Kids summer film series
Enjoy your favorite family friendly films for just $2! Marcus Theaters will have Kid friendly showings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 10am from June 21st through August 11th.
**Please note that these are not sensory friendly but they are kid friendly. Here is the Marcus Theater link with times for their Reel Movies for Real Needs (Sensory Friendly) showings.
AMC Theaters – Sensory Friendly Films
The program provides a special opportunity for families to enjoy their favorite films in a safe and accepting environment. The auditoriums dedicated to the program have their lights up, the sound turned down and audience members are invited to get up and dance, walk, shout or sing.
These showings are typically on a Saturday morning at 10am but please visit their web site for a current schedule.

Instructor: Sue Gillespie Booton plus community volunteers
Tuition: $35 per month (you may participate in one month, two!) **tuition is the same whether there are 3, 4, or 5 weeks in the month of classes

Sporting Activity, summer activities. 10 May 2011 @ 9:22 am.
The Homer’s Heroes division is for boys and girls with physical or intellectual disabilities, ages 5 to 17. In 2010, 106 players participated in the program. Six weeks of games are played starting the first Saturday of June running through July 16th. games are played on the Lewis fields at 9:30am on Saturdays.
Volunteer “Buddies” encourage and assist each player during the game. One game is played at Haymarket Park with the Lincoln Saltdogs players. The Optimist Clubs of Lincoln established the program in 1992. Shirts and awards are furnished by the Optimist Clubs. Caps, field rental and equipment are sponsored by the Junior Saltdogs League.
