Melissa Schop: Parent/Legislative Advocate for Autism Society of Nebraska

The Autism Society of Nebraska owes its progress and successes to our community of volunteers.   Today, we want to introduce you one of those volunteers.  Melissa Schop is serving as the Legislative Advocacy Chairperson for the Autism Society of Nebraska.

Melissa is a great representative for our community as we work towards insurance reform here in Nebraska because not only does she have a son with autism but she also has a degree in law.   Melissa is excited to serve as a voice for the Autism Society of Nebraska  as we work alongside other organizations and an incredible number of passionate advocates.   Melissa has already been working tirelessly on our behalf and is excited for 2013.  She wants you to know that this effort is going to take all of us.  She is making sure our voice is heard and needs us to rally behind her when the time comes for our community to be heard.

In the upcoming weeks, Melissa will be updating us and other times putting out a call to action.  We need you all to be on the lookout for her emails and be prepared to rise together as a community so that we can finally make fair insurance coverage a reality here in Nebraska!
