OMAHA: First United Methodist Church offers fellowship luncheon to welcome ASD families
2012 SPRING, Event by other community organization. 15 March 2012 @ 5:41 pm.Several months ago we were contacted by First United Methodist Church in Omaha. They were responding to the needs of ASD famillies within their own parish and were looking to create a sensory friendly room in the hopes of helping their families have a more successful church experience.
On Sunday, April 15th in honor of Autism Awareness Month they will be hosting a Fellowship Meal in partnership with the Autism Society of Nebraska. Proceeds from this Fellowship meal will help cover the costs of a Sensory Therapy Room they are constructing to assist ASD families attending their church.
They are invite ALL families from the Autism Society to join them for this event.
Download an invitation letter from Barret Scroggs their Director of Children’s Programming.
