The Hastings Autism Resource Team will be starting a 6-session autism parent training.  They first organization meeting will be held  March 8th from 6:30-8:00pm at Lincoln Elementary School.  Childcare will be provided.

This series will give parents background information and strategies to assist with children who have been diagnosed with Autism.   The training is designed for parents wanting to find out more information or just building a network of other parents.

Topics include but are not limited to:

Organizational Meeting and First Steps
Intro to Evidence Based Practices
Structuring for Success at home, school, community—Building a strong foundation
Reinforcement
Managing Problem Behaviors
Parent Choice Mini Sessions

Even though training is specific to Autism, information is relevant to other students with special needs.  Please join us for more information.
