LINCOLN: Guardian Changes Workshop

Are you a guardian / conservator or expecting to become one soon? The guardianship landscape in Nebraska has changed. The reporting requirements for guardians/conservators has also changed resulting in significantly more information which must be provided to the court and other interested parties. Additionally, qualifying as a new guardian/conservator will be more difficult and will include extensive background checks and mandatory bonds. This educational event will focus on the forms and procedures arising from the new guardianship and conservatorship laws which became effective January 1st of this year. These laws were enacted by the Nebraska legislature in response to several widely publicized cases of fraud. Please plan to attend one of our offerings. We will have a guest attorney speaking at each session.
