Parents use many strategies during daily routines that promote young children‛s language and communicative development. When a child has disabilities, we do all the same things….we simply are more strategic about it. This presentation will review components of language development and specific techniques families can use to support language learning in young children.
Practical resources will be provided along with illustrations of ways to optimize our roles as conversational partners.
