Help take down Autism…
Fundraiser for ASN. 1 October 2009 @ 2:30 pm.…with the wrestling team at Dana College!
Dana College is very excited to team up with Jason Bross and the Autism Society of Nebraska to put on the first Pinning Down Autism wrestling event in the Midwest. Pinning Down Autism was born out of the idea of a couple of highschool wrestling coaches who had children on the autism spectrum. Jennifer Vest, an Autism Specialist for Millard Public Schools discovered this program three years ago and has been working to start an event here in Blair ever since. The Autism Society is honored to work with them all to create an amazing autism awareness fundraiser here in our community!
Please help us spread word about this tournament. Please share the information with your family, neighbors, friends, school and especially the coaches at your school! This tournament will be divided up by weight and age and is open up to grade school age and above.
This is an amazing opportunity to bring Autism awareness to our community with the added benefit of helping educate those peers who attend class alongside your children! The Autism Society would like to invite everyone to come out and help make this a great day for autism awareness as well as support the wrestling community as they support our autism community!
